This Hard Hat tour will showcase an amazing lab under construction that will be the first of it’s kind 3-D metal printing facility for the National Nuclear Security Administration. See the areas that will house this equipment and the hear about the 2 year process leading up to where we are now!In addition to hearing from CREW Member David Shaffer from AIC General Contractor, the main speaker will be the CAMINO project manager, Erica Douglas, who is the Senior Manager for the Advanced Materials & Manufacturing Science group for Sandia National labs. You will be hearing from an amazing woman in charge of this project whose roles have spanned from managing operation of Sandia’s semiconductor fabrication facility, device packaging production, and materials characterization and now is managing this CAMINO project. This facility will not only expand Sandia’s Advanced Manufacturing capabilities but is positioned to expand and revolutionize the framework of collaboration within the National Nuclear Security Administration as well as the commercial and industrial manufacturing base.
